05 Jacob Shack (AKA J’s Retreat on airbnb) was our first ‘mega’ shack for a loving couple and their extended family of grillers’n chillers. A hidden haven with the eye view elegantly poised at tree top level to siphon in the sounds and sights of nature. Quiet and secluded amongst native woodland and forest it is a sanctury from the hustle and bustle on modern life. Turn off your phone, pour a glass your ‘fav bevvy’ and listen to a laughing kookaburra at dusk as the distant rumble of the ocean soothes your mind and senses.

“A peaceful time is guaranteed in this brand new property, which is nestled between Brookland Valley Winery, the renowned Flutes Restaurant and the beautiful wedding location Secret Garden, all within walking distance of the house. The property comprises four bedrooms – 2 of which have queen beds with ensuites, whilst the other 2 have twin king singles and share the third bathroom. This is an ideal house for two families or three / four couples to sleep comfortably. The spacious property, nestled amongst the trees also has a fully equipped kitchen and scullery, which include an induction cooktop, 90cm oven and combination steam / microwave oven, fridge/ freezer and a wine and beverage center. Although on warm summer nights the BBQ and the large undercover outdoor entertaining area with wide verandas is pretty hard to resist. Linen and towels are provided and laundered, and there is a laundry suitably equipped should you need. WIFI is available throughout the house. Plenty of parking space for you and your friends. Adjoining the Yelverton State Forest, the property is bounded by magnificent treescapes and an abundance of native flora and fauna with direct access to many beautiful walking trails. Some of the region’s most famous vineyards – Vasse Felix, Cullens, Brookland Valley, Peirro, Sandalford and Woodlands, to name a few, are virtually on the doorstep. J’s Retreat offers easy driving access to Margaret River, Yallingup and the South West’s most idyllic beaches, as well as all other popular attractions like the Margaret River Chocolate Company and The Candy Cow in nearby Cowaramup.
